Hi Erie, I forgot to include the original question... with my answer. Shame, shame on me. (lol) The original posting was regarding someone with a C5/6 injury, not having the fusion procedure until many years later. I was just addressing, like you, how unusual that was. Most fusions are done as quickly as physically and medically possible to the injuried person. Thanks W
