Eric,   Her family dislikes you solely because you're disabled? Bizarre! Someone said they're reminded of "Flowers in the Attic," lol, I'm thinking more like a X-File episode but I won't say which one because it really is insulting, unfortunately, none of us can choose what family we're born into, but thankfully, we can grow up and choose to leave that family. It sounds like Amy's has made that choice for her but I think she and your child will only benefit from it. An innocent child doesn't need bigotry and ignorance from within it's own family, this world will show them that soon enough. Hope Amy pursues that therapy though, it can be very helpful in many ways.     Best of luck,   Steph
