Hi Jay,

I am so sorry.  I have always had a high profile roho since after my first gel, which was 32 years ago, which I did not have very long , although it was not a jay. My wheelchair dealers let me try a Jay cushion when I was about to get a new cushion, and I was convinced.  I preferred roho , after trying.

Did they say it was caused by the gel, not giving enough support.  I try to do a lot more weight shifts than I am supposed to do.

That is certainly a good recommendation to get a roho.  What kind of roho do you have?

I used a Jay cushion, gel filled. I sat great in it, felt great. But about 2 years later, I had an mri on my hip.

They noticed a large sore under my muscles on my butt. It hadn’t broken though yet.

They sent me to a surgeon thinking they should drain it. The surgeon said don’t touch it. He made me get a Roho cushion.

A year later they checked and it had healed up.

Based on what everyone said it sounds like air is the way to go as opposed to gel, foam, or sand. Right?
