There are also switch replacements which can be controlled with your
computer. Cheaper than rewiring and patching holes, painting etc.

For me to get the simrple changes I must have in my "accessible" apartment,
I must write a letter "proving" the changes are necessary. I have been

Currently the scitches are on the wall behind a regular counter top.

Any words will be taken in to consideration.

Letter for Reasonable Accommodation

I am confined to a wheelchair. While I have a Provider for 29 hours a
week, she is not here at night or on weekends. During that time period, I
must be able to use the kitchen. Currently I cannot reach the switches that
turn on the light above the sink, garbage disposal, light above stove or fan
above the range.

I either don't turn those things on or try to use a long handled wooden
spoon. Most times it still does not reach the switches. If these switches
were moved to a location under the sink, they could be easily be used by
anyone.
