my doc said there are very few people he would do the mitrofanoff on but i happened to be one of the lucky few. he said it is becoming somewhat of a "trend" in the medical world and some people were wanting it done out of pure laz iness. he also said he will only do it if it helps a person become more independent. if they still need assistance after the procedure he felt it wasn't worth it. jessica Those born with spina bifida, can still be very active and have a normal lifestyle while using manual wheelchairs.
