If you set fire to it you'll kill most of the germs, but someone usually gripes about the smoke. Alcohol and ammonia will get it clean but most bags disolve after a few cleanings. I just donate mine to a landfill and ruin new ones. I got a case of them on ebay and I'd like to use them up before I die.
