Hi Tom, I took a lot of info without any to offer when I first joined the list. I was also barely paralyzed (well barely out of the hospital). That was about 6 yrs ago. In May I broke my back and found out that a chunk of my spinal column was in pieces and about 7 or 8 disks have been replaced with rods and cages. All titatium. I had 3 surgeries. The 2nd one was b/c they didn't get it all (in a totally different spot than broken) and the 3rd b/c they put a screw too close to my aeorta. I have plenty of titanium to play golf now :). I hope it works out great for you. I have a question for you. Could you feel the pain from the first spinal fusion and if so how long before it stops hurting. I had my last surgery in July and I still have pain if I turn a lot in bed which I have to do because I'm still stuck in the bed.
