I have a supra catheter and use my pool every summer (to float around in since I can't do much swimming :-( ) and have never had to "plug the hole well." I do keep my daily bandage and tape on it, but nothing special, and then of course have to change it (the bandage) when I get out of the pool. I've never had any problems with the catheter from being in the pool.
