Congratulations Nan, You have survived the long ride and I'm glad you have made a 40 years going on 50. I didn't realize you lived in New York. You have accomplished a lot and we are proud of you. Thanks for writing about your life and letting us know that you have reached your 40 th year.. It would be fun to see pictures of your miniature horses, dogs and puppies. Dana Hiya Naughty Nan, lol and Congrats to you! You, Breezy and Sue are all missed here. I know it hasn't been easy, but you have done it and set a great example for others to follow. Again, Best Wishes W In a message dated 6/7/2008 9:31:32 P.M. Central Daylight Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes:
Yippie!!!!!!!!! I made it. How mny other "old timers" are out there??? Yes, I celebrate. Forty years ago they gave me a 5% chance of living - and here I am 40 years later. Now going for the next milestone ... 50 years! I have a great life. Yes, it has it's ups and downs - like spending 2 1/2 months in a nursing home healing a pressure sore or gaining way too much weight and not being able to shed it, or living in cold, cold, cold NY State (well not cold this week). My husband and I celebrated 30 year together last year - even though he "came out" to me after 26 years of marriage ... THAT was a surprise!! He is still my best friend. I have my sons, my grandchildren, my miniature horses and my 3 Labs (17 puppies at the moment!!) and my friends. Life is good. I celebrate life! Well, sorry to make this short but sweet, so much has happened over the years I could go on & on ..... But, I have a horse show tomorrow so have to get to bed. My parting words were written by someone else, but they fit so well: "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, But rather to slide in sideways, Chocolate in one hand, Strawberries in the other, a body worn out, used up and screaming as loudly as possible,'Woo Hoo, What a ride'!!!"
