I've heard the same thing about Canada. They have better health care than the US. China traditionally is disrespectful of human rights in general, so they're even less considerate of people with disabilities. I wouldn't go or live there- anyone could be murdered and there wouldn't even be a trial. They try to create an image of embracing all people at the Olympics, but I've read that prior to the Olympics they were suppressing all sorts of uprising among the people there. Not to say that things are great in the US. There are definitely improvements needed in terms of accessibility and respect, but it is better here than most third-world countries.
