I think that is awesome. The VR on my phone usually has to ask me three different names. I bet it would be genious if it worked off a wire to an electrode to my brain so people don't here me cursing as I go in reverse down a crowded hall.
Will anyone believe the chair is using VR when you hit them repeatedly with one?
Just hurt my brain laughing. When someone says "go get f*****" will my wheelchair try to mate with a newspaper stand?

MIT wheelchair steers clear with Wi-Fi

A group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has invented [149]
a wheelchair with all the self-navigating abilities of a GPS device.
Only instead of being inhibited by the need for a satellite signal like
a GPS device, MIT said Friday, the location-aware wheelchair uses Wi-Fi
and can work indoors.
Just like with a GPS navigator, the wheelchair has programmed
favorites. Better yet, it works by voice recognition so you don't have
to type in a request.
