I realize preparing a quad for gainful employment or re-employment is probably outside the reasonable goals for ot, but it sure would have been helpful. even a chat about 'what do you want to do the rest of your life?' and some real suggestions would have been nice. explaining what the goals are and why they are important would also have been helpful - I was 19 and had other things on my mind at the time. (I had a GREAT pt who helped with that part ) having your clients chat with successful people in similar circumstances would be a help too I think - help give hope and direction possibly. many here have self sustaining jobs AFTER sci accidents - I did and now I'm retired.
