When I was in rehab and during a peer counseling group session someone asked, why me? Answer , why not, you should it be your brother, sister, mom or dad . It just happened.

This is a heavy duty question, but I love a challenge -- so here I go. Well, my parents separated 5 days after my accident (Easter) but that was bound to happen anyway so I don't think that was it. I truly believe that all my niece's and nephew's are better people because of having a disabled Aunt. Katy is graduating nursing school May 2009 because of me, she told me so. Hopefully they don't take risks, as I did -- hence breaking my neck learning to jumps on a motorcycle. When I look back on the past 36 years as a C 5,6 quad, my greatest "claim to fame" is forming a peer counseling program at Kessler Institute, 10 miles from my home, in 1990 that is still running to this day.
