In response to the subject line:  I do drive my vehicle from my powerchair.  I
have a Quickie p200 powerchair [oldie, I know] and I drive a Honda
Element--X-WAV conversion from Freedom Motors.  My Element is kiwi green and my
nieces nicknamed it "Shrek."

I have the full dropped floor in the vehicle and can roll into it forward or
backward, even though there is not much room to manuever.  Once I position my
chair behind the steering wheel I hit a switch and the locking mechanism on the
floor--aptly called a Slide-Lock--slides back and locks me down.  It is a
modified EZ-Lock system.  I then attach my seatbelt/shoulder strap and I'm very
stable, secure and safe, as both the vehicle and lockdown system are crash
tested.

I have reduced effort steering and braking, MPD hand-controls,

a tri-pin spinner on the steering wheel, and I am able to use the factory
cruise control.  I can drive for hours without needing a break, but usually
stop every two hours to weight-shift and drink water.

Hope that helps,
Don.
