The clicking sound is the magnetic braking system currently used on most 24 volt DC scooters, wheelchairs and PMVs. The selenoid, prevents the powered device from moving forward and backwards at the same time. The current line of Quantum Series, like the EDGE is being hand built in PA for customer orders.
