I'm on medihoney (manuka honey). I have a wound that I have had on my foot for
over two years. The medihoney is making it close where the other treatments
didn't work. I can buy a 1.5 oz of medihoney for $20.00 or I can buy a 12 oz
jar at the health food store for $16. I have been using both, the medihoney and
the manuka honey from the health food store and both seem to work the same
(probably because they are the same type of honey). I think the medihoney is
filtered a little more than the health food store honey.

It was recommended for me because the medihoney is used for burn patients who
have lost their entire layer of skin. It helps the skin to grow and fights
MRSA. I have trouble with the skin growing and I have had MRSA three times,
none while on the medihoney.

My doctor said that the Medihoney/manuka honey can work great for some people
and others it doesn't seem to do much for, but that is why there are different
types of treatments to help the people who respond differently.

Subject: [QUAD-L] Honey for bed sores?

Hi All,
A friend of my Mom's, who is a retired nurse, told her to tell me that I
should put honey on my wound for it to heal. First of all the wound is super
fiscal.
Anybody ever hear of this remedy?
Bobbie
