Actually I heard that Obamacare will help, that is my understanding. I have
voluntered with Bera for Congress here in Cali and have heard the pros and
cons.

I don't know wheel, but they worked with many quads over the years and 2 times
a week has worked for a whole lot of us----some require 3 or more--I guess It
depends on the person------But several spine specialists said it is fine and at
twice a week would not cause any serious problems. How does someone even get
people to do a bowel routine EVERY DAY??? My wife gets burnt out with twice a
week, lol -- Lucky me if it was more I'd have to go into a nursing home.
Plus----the government is running into serious debts and I don't see them
paying for excessive caregiver time in our near future. More cutbacks are
expected after the next election or when 2014 part of OBAMACARE kicks
in-------lord help us all. Dan**

Dan, if one's metabolism truly slows down... it would/could also after one's
bladder. Just think if one's collection container was only emptied twice a
week. And urine is suppose to be sterile. Human solid waste is not sterile when
evacuated either. Fecal matter, when stuck in the bowel, can be compared to
garbage in a waste dump. It develops gas. Bloating and irritate the bowel
lining. What really is ironic is the lack of medical knowledge relative to the
bowel, even though doctors and nurses who treat you are faced with the same
issues when they are not regular. I don't think a whole lot of time is
relegated to fecal waste in med school, because it is suppose to be a natural
process.... until the patient becomes impacted and requires an evasive
procedure. When one considers the symptoms of a sluggish bowel and its effects
on the entire body, one can see why regularity is so important. That also
applies to those who know what works best for them. Remember your bowel is NOT
a bank and you don't get interest for holding your waste.... (smiling)
Best Wishes

Well as far as the bowel program, how often do you do it? in rehab they were
trying everyday in the beginning and with no results many days---- then the
experienced spinal rehab doctors and nurses told us to cut down to twice a
week--we began doing that and it works great----We have now done twice a week
for over 15 years. they told us that a quads metabolism usually slows down and
2 times a week is fine --some quads go more but once you get your body used to
it--It works great for many people. ( including myself ) . Good luck, Dan H. 15
