Had you considered some apple cider vinegar 2-3 times a day mixed with
honey?

I just sent one e-mail where I talked about my urostomy working pretty
well, here I am asking if there is any solutions to a problem with putrid
smelling urine when you have a urostomy.

I have already dropped off a urine sample and given up some blood. They
show that my urine is okay and my white blood cell count is normal. The
doctor gave me a call last week and was willing to treat me for a bladder
infection because I was having severe bladder pain in conjunction with the
fetid
urine. I asked him if he can hold off for a little while because I was
trying to use some cranberry juice (which I normally can't drink, but I found
some that doesn't give me indigestion) and the bladder pain was diminishing
a little.

So far the bladder pain is pretty much gone away, but the smell is still
there. Thankfully I'm able to conceal the smell whenever I'm up in the
wheelchair, but when we drain the bag the smell is horrified and it lingered
for
quite a while. When I had a suprapubic, I could try irrigation with a
vinegar solution, but what the heck can I do with a urostomy?

Since I know there are too many people in here with a urostomy, I don't
expect to get a lot of feedback.

Thanks nonetheless,
