I hear what you were saying about being dressed to make yourself feel
confident. I have always been a Wrangler jeans and Roper boots person, and my
mother despaired of me ever wanting to wear dresses, nylons and high heels, and
that sort of thing! J It was probably a rebellion against having to wear
skirts to school even when we had 2 feet of snow And addresses were mandatory
apparel for jobs from the sixties to seventies. Whatever the reason, although
I did enjoy dressing up occasionally, Wranglers it was.

When I broke my neck I was advised in rehab to wear sweats-not my style.
Within a few months I was back in Wranglers, which made me feel confident in
myself. Now 22 years later, I still wear Wranglers (although I do have some
dressy slacks to wear for special locations), still wear makeup and make sure
that my attendants know that I want to look nice and appropriately dressed.

I also think that it makes it easier for new acquaintances to see who I am and
accept me as I am. Each of us needs to find what makes us comfortable in our
own skin. OK, I’m off my soapbox for the rest of the day. A great day
everyone. Joan
