Yes, Greece is very beautiful with thousands of islands surrounded by crystal clear water and this summer we are expecting a record number of visitors, which should help the economy.

We used to get an allowance for an electric wheelchair, for a very basic wheelchair with no extras like tilting and that has now been cut in half and is expected to be cut even more. We receive no aid to buy an accessible van or for caregivers we have to pay for them out of our own pockets. Of course living in Athens presents its own challenges as most areas are not very accessible including almost all apartment buildings over 15 years old. Although I have to admit that there have been a lot of improvements made especially since the 2004 Olympic Games.
