I have cipro on hand and have considered taking it to see if it helps. 5
teaspoons of vinegar to 1 pint of water and I irrigate once a day...30ml and
clamp cath off for 10 minutes (longer if possible) and then let it drain

At first I thought stones, but then I read the last line. This happened to
me about eight or nine years ago and to the best of my memory, which isn't
what it used to be, it didn't really get under control until I developed a
UTI and required some antibiotics.

If you have good irrigation kits and some Toomes (I don't know how to spell
that, but it's basically a 50 or 60 mm syringe) I would recommend doing some
irrigation that way. You're able to clear out more with the syringe than
with a normal irrigation kit.

I have also found that if you can drink too large lemonades in an afternoon,
you will put out an enormous amount of junk that was in your bladder.
Unfortunately it can clog if you're not using irrigation all the junk out
proactively.

Good luck, I wish I could help more.

WOOHOO! I haven't been able to send the quad list an e-mail for weeks!

My indwelling catheter is stopping up about every week now. Started out
changing every 3 weeks and over the past few months it's gradually gotten
down to about a week.

Urologist recommended flushing with Renacidin (which is not available from
the manufacturer until late July)

I've been using vinegar and sterile water but to no avail! My daughter cut
the used catheter that stopped up yesterday and is was coated with a fine
sandy grit.

CT scan in April showed everything was fine.....no bladder stone.

Any suggestions?
