Amen Bob. Great article in New Mobility. The product is invasive to one's body so certified training is both a legal requirement, similar to the certification of an RN with a wound vac machine. Best Wishes In a message dated 4/19/2014 3:26:56 P.M. Central Daylight Time, rhvsh...@pacbell.net writes:
Sorry about the late response per Peristeen. Yes, it is available in the USA, it was approved by the FDA in late 2012. You can't just "order as system and try it", first you need to go to a training session lead by a nurse, nurse practioner or Dr.--it is a very simple system to use, but everybody's system is different, requires different amounts of water to empty, different "pumps of the balloon" to stay in the rectum etc.--hence a traning session. The best way to find out more is to contact Coloplast US and ask them about it: http://www.coloplast.us/About-us/Contact/ Bob V ____________________________________ From: Fragile <swl...@gmail.com> To: quad-list <quad-list@eskimo.com> Sent: Thursday, April 3, 2014 8:24 PM Subject: [QUAD-L] Peristeen system Anybody have any information on the Peristeen system?
