Have you tried working with a social worker to find out your options in your state? Here where I live we talk with in home support services in Sothern California but originally a social worker told me what was out there, get me signed up and helped me get it covered by insurance. Now when I need a caregiver I basically call and tell them to put me on the list and start getting calls from prospective caregivers and set up an interview if they answered my questions over the phone well enough. If you want to find someone on your own that you can pay out of pocket unfortunately other than word of mouth I''m unsure of good ways.
Good luck!

I am laying in bed waiting on my aide. She has been with me for a few years and I can't take her lateness and attitude towards the job.I have had enough and so has she.Can you good folks give me some advice in finding a new aide? Do I advertise? Do you know a good interview process? Can you direct me to some resources? Any thought is appreciated. This is difficult for me.I am a C5/6 quad who lives alone.Thank you all,
Paul
