Thanks everyone. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. I also have a urostomy and am perplexed as to why I'm having difficulties right now. We did try using just a little stone and paste and we also decided to use the same method we use for the urostomy. So far it seems to be working considerably better than it was the way they showed us.
Unfortunately my nurse friend from down the road is on vacation. She's the one that showed me all the tricks for the urostomy.
