24 years ago we got a Barrier Free Lift. Absolutely love it. The original one is still working and moves up and down and forward and backward with a connected remote. It requires a copper lined track. The one I have in this house is a portable and moves up and down of course, but moves along the track with somebody pulling me along. Absolutely love it. When I had my motor home I was able to take the portable lift with me. Very convenient for my daughter who was my caregiver. So much better than a Hoyer! Good luck Joan
