1st, tell your doctor. Stop flushing until you get a reply. Anything that
causes ad is not a good thing. It's as simple as that.

Subject: [QUAD-L] Flush Suprapubic Catheter

Hello, I’m a c5/6 complete injured 11/03. I have a SP catheter and need
to flush due to the
build-up of sediment. I just started using Renacidin to flush. I am
supposed to use 30cc
for 30 min.

I only used 20 cc for 20 min as that was all I could tolerate. Putting
the solution
through the catheter caused great discomfort and AD. After he initial
wave of AD passed,
I had more AD when I began to pee through the penis. Anyone have similar
experience
and ideas how to better manage?

Thanks!
Paul
