Hi, All,

I know this feeling after living in quadville as a C 5-6-7 for 27 years. Again, 
I stress hydration and food, plenty of food (not simple carbs that will plummet 
your blood sugar, yet!). Sometimes I am so tired and then it hits me that I 
haven’t eaten much, or any complex carbs, aka, energy food! Even if I eat 
plenty of protein, I need whole wheat bread or something. (Go ahead and eat any 
and all junk food after the good nutrition😊) At times I just forget a meal, and 
I’ll be asking myself, “What is wrong with me?” over and over. I know it’s 
very, Duh!, but it takes those near-passing out moments to remind me how my 
body cannot function without enough food! Before quad life I could go two days 
without eating if I had to. Not these days.

Also, I try to drink the coffee throughout the afternoon, instead of in gulps.

 

The main thing that might keep me awake, after food, is being entertained. Stop 
doing what you’re supposed to be doing, and indulge a guilty pleasure for a 
half-hour! Works for me.

Ever have those days were no matter what you do you can not stay awake. It's 
like I took a box of sleeping pills. Fall asleep drinking coffee. Some days its 
so bad, I wonder if my time-release pain meds were cracked and it all came out 
at once.
