Hi again

To recap - a secondhand SupraExpress 288 didnt work on a Quadra 700 OS 7.1
with Open Transport where a USRobotics 14.4k Mac&Fax did. (And I had changed
the modem settings, etc.)

Ive now had the opportunity to try the Supra on an 8100/110 Powermac with OS
8.0 - it worked perfectly. I guess that this means one of two things:

The Supra, which unlike the USR is powered by the machine, is not getting
enough current from the 68k machine (does that just display my ignorance of
modem mechanics?)

or

The Supra needs some of the Open Transport extensions not installed for 68k -
although that doesnt explain why it wont work on ConfigPPP either.

Any bright ideas? Does anyone use successfully a Supra with their Quadra?

Thanks

Russell
