I was recently given an couple of old macs by a friend, he got them from a recycling operation that was about to trash them. One is an 840 AV, the other is pretty interesting. It has a black motherboard, no model label or name on the modified 800 case, and some sort of sound input card in one of the nubus slots. The hard drive has lots of Apple internal memos and development info, and the name of the owner/user. There is a sticker on the back stating that the FCC had not approved this device and it may not be sold or leased until such approval. The computer will boot, but the ADB controller must be damaged, as the keyboard and mouse don't do anything. Anybody have any ideas what this thing is? Thanks for any info.
