Hi quadlisters!

I'm new round here, hope I've come to the right place. I've been playing with
compact Macs up till now (SE/30 & Classic II). However, a recent charity shop
trip yielded an LC475 for $5, and I gave way. This was primarily because my 12
year old son went dumpster diving (I've trained him well :-) at his school and
came home with a Multi Scan 14 inch display (M4222). I thought I might be able
to do something with it. When I got the LC475 home I found the hard drive was
gone, but it did have a LapisColor 24 LC video card in it (is that good?).

So I tried to boot it with a OS 7.1 disk tools floppy. It went "bong" (rather a
horrid sound actually) but then nothing happened. I can't hear the floppy start,
and nothing came up on the screen (stayed blank). I unplugged the Lapis video
board, and plugged the monitor into the standard socket, with the same result.

Any suggestions?

Cheers,
       John
