I think that USB 2.0 is only available to Macs running OSX (10.0.4x) and
will require a spare PCI slot for a USB 2 upgrade card if your iMac is a
model with built-in USB 1.1 ports only.

The USB upgrade cards will operate at 1.1 speed if using a Classic Mac OS
but this kind of, would defeat the purpose of an upgrade if you're not
running X on your iMac.

Any spare PCI slots in that iMac of yours, John?
