I don't know if there are actually production numbers available out there in the www... I think the pickle is referring to:
1. Time of production Most Quadra models were produced for business users for an extended period of time, so models like the 950 and the 700 are pretty common. Their prices reflect this... 2. Limited editions Ferinstance... the Twentieth Anniversary Mac was only produced in small numbers, so it's pretty nice if you can find one. I'm totally kicking myself over that one... I worked at Claris about that time and could have picked one up for a song. 3. Top of the line Anytime you have a model at the top of the speed charts, it's probably at least a little collectable. 4. Oddities This is where you'll find the real cool ones. MacTV (built-in TV,) TAM (upright form factor,) Quadra 605/LC475 (very small footprint,) and the Cube (Ooooooohh factor) all fall into this category. These might be a little more collectable than the run of the mill machines.
