a little OT but im just going to interject here, I have a stylus 760 (not directly attatched to a quad) but it uses the same ink cartridge as a 740 so I would assume the prints would be comprable (can get quite nice) but watch out wiht some of the glossy photo paper, epson premium quality glossy ink jet paper looks pretty nice (could bleed a little less and be sharper) but the gloss gets messed up and nasty really easy, dont touch it and put it under glass right away and it should be good. I would recomend for all your photo needs sticking with a matte paper (such as epson Matte Paper-Heavyweight) as it is more sturdy, the prints color and sharpness looks MUCH better (this is also true if you buy matte photo's at your local 24 hour photo instead of glossy) and it does not get messed up from contact. It will look better under glass than glossy will anyway.

And with scans taken from 35mm originals I've even got s couple of A4 concert prints up there too! No idea about other makes of printer but this may have been of use.
