Well, right now it doesn't. When I'm trying to compare two files, it
crashes with "...because Error 1 occurred" message...

I'm unable to find version 1.7.4 you've mentioned - on the Sourceforge
site (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=9366),
there's no versions older than 1.7.5. I've found v1.7.2 here:
http://www.pure-mac.com/diskfile.html#hexedit, but description says it's
for MacOS X...

I'll try them anyway, and if they're unsuitable, I'll probably ask you
for your v1.7.4 then! :-)
