I recently found a Quadra 610 DOS Compatible at a local thrift store (for $1). It has MacOS 7.6.1 on it and a small 500 meg IDE drive.

I am trying to get the PC part of this thing up and running. The PC boots fine and I’ve created a “virtual” hard drive for it. But, of course, that drive does not have any form of DOS or Windows on it. I have Windows 3.1 (on 3.5 inch disks) and Windows98 on CD.

However, when I try to install 3.1, it will do the first disk, ask for the second but the disk does not automatically eject itself so I tried using a paperclip.

That got it out but when I put the 2nd disk in, the PC doesn’t know its’ there.

When I try to install from CD, the PC doesn’t know the Apple CD drive is there (the CD works fine from MacOS).

How do I get this thing running????

Thanks,

Bob
