Hellp All, Thanks for the suggestions for the above problem on my 660av. To recap, my 700mb HD disappears from view on reboots after a few days idle. This is fixed by scanning for the drive with HDToolkit 3. But it works whether the toolkit sees the drive or not (after much fear and worry). It's not that the system folder isn't seen, the whole drive is not even recognised. This has happened at least a dozen times over the year, and I have no idea what is the cause. None of my disk diagnostic programs see any problem at all UNTIL the drive "disappears" (Techtool Pro, Norton Utilities and Disk First Aid 8.2). Then they're useless, till the drive 'Reappears' post the above (Kind of like 'Blessing' the system folder, but for the whole drive?!).
Any ideas will be very greatly appreciated. Regards Adam -- Quadlist is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
