The IIci? A great machine in it's time [and still is] however it's only capable of 8 bit [256] colors up to 640x480 [with the exception of the 640 x 870 mono portrait display at 4 bit greyscale]. - The 475 at least can display 16 bit [1000's] colors at 832x624 and 8 bit color up to a 1152x870 display if it's on board VRAM is maxed out to 1MB. What would you pay for a "full" '040 coprocessor? $1? $5? no more surely, and that's easily swapped over. Whichever Mac you decide on, will require an adapter for the monitor, but these usually have dip-switches [and instructions] for setting it to a fixed screen display or to a multisync up to 21 inch, depending on the Mac and it's video capabilities and the display unit. For a switch-box you can go for either a KVM or an inexpensive manual switch-box. The manual type is easy to implement but the display is usually not quite as good as what you can achieve with a KVM. However, the manual switch is quite workable all the same. -- Quadlist is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
