I have a Performa 630, similar to the 635. I use it in my room as a TV or audio CD player. (I also have a DVD player hooked into the AV ports). Seems a little weird to boot up a computer just to watch TV. At least the system is small so it boots fast. (I have some version of 7 on it, can't remember...but there is a bug when combining one of the OS versions and the TV remote control...a google search ought to tell you what version to avoid if you plan on using the remote control.)
I managed at one point to get it to play some MP3s but the quality was absolutely terrible. Gave up on that.
