Apple's Cyberdog is an excellent choice for 68K machines running 7.5.3
or better. It is quite stable, and does not usually crash on sites it
can not render. It also includes email, newsgroup and ftp functions. It
can be found for download from <www.cyberdog.org> It would run much
better with more memory, but then almost any browser you choose will
work better with more than 20MB of RAM. Netshark, NSCA's Mosiac V2,
Explorer V2, and MacWeb V2 are browsers that should run with 20MB RAM.

Yep, it does indeed run pretty good. I was able to do some testing this
afternoon and managed to check out a total of 4 different browsers including
Cyberdog 2.0, Netscape Navigator 4.07, iCab pre 2.98 and MS Internet Explorer
4.01. Of course the testing was not very extensive as it is kind of cold
upstairs when sitting for long periods of time, but I did manage to determine
that MSIE 4.01 performed the best overall. Not only was it quicker than the
rest most of the time, it also loaded the most sites of any of those tested.
It was the only one to load my personal excite page at all even though it
eventually locked up the system from a lack of memory. The main thing I
discovered is that I need to find a less resource hungry site if I want to use
webmail on the old Quadra!

Just a message from Doug...
