>Can we do a roll call of how quads are being used in different ways? >I have two and they are presently acting as bookends for some zip drives.
I have a 605 with fpu, but despite being cute it is packed away unused at the moment. I tried netBSD on it for a while - but I can't see the point :-) I mean it's free, but what do you DO with it? I think I'll be giving it to my son to play "Bolo" on when he's had enough of the IIci :-) I also have a super Quadra 950 which houses a huge seagate 48Gb full hight drive. This is 68pin running off a ATTO express IV SCSI card. It's currently humming away running MacHTTP. I'm intending to learn how to create my own web pages with it, and plan to put the ubiquitous "family pictures" on it. I don't have a fixed IP address, so that's another problem. But I have managed to access my "home page" from the web. I just got a Quadra 700 which I like the look of. At the same time I picked up a PAS audiospectrum 16 nubus card (in the shrinkwrap!) which I'm thinking of putting in it - perhaps to setup as a vintage MIDI/ digital audio setup. My current favorite, however, is not a quadra. It's the Mac IIfx that I'm writing this on! OS 6.0.8. and the VersaTerm Pro s/w package. It's a keeper!
