Well, if using it like a Lamport clock you wouldn't treat it as prefix specific, but peer-global. (Hence why preprending it some way would be notionally cleaner, but that might be harder to do for BGP-mess reasons).

BMP has timestamps though...we just need someone to implement it in quagga
:)

Is it a useful debug aid though? Does it have any other uses?
