I had a customer who would not consider deploying quagga without non-controllable logging of all commands. This was a non-negotiable policy on their side, so either we put it in or we didn't use quagga.

Sure. Seeing a steady trickle on the IRC channel though of people asking why they're getting regular messages from the daemons into logs. E.g., it seems at least some use 'watchquagga' and that sends a steady stream of "echo PING" commands - no doubt other monitoring systems do.

If we could tweak this so it's configurable and defaults to off, that'd be good. :)
