Hi Udaya,

Does this update the previous patch you posted, which I have queued up for round-8? Or is it the same?

Hello,

The current FPM module of zebra gives option to connect to
ip:localhost and port:2620 with external application(forwarding path). The
FPM will update routes to external application and external application
will push the route to data plane. Currently this has only one to one
connectivity with FPM and external application.

To support the redundancy in external application, I am planning to
extend single connectivity to multiple connectivity, here one FPM will
connect with multiple external application. Each external application will
receive all the route published by FPM. In the event of failure of active
external application, another application will take over the charge of
handling the dataplane without affecting any disconnectivity issue with
dataplane.

Please find attached document on the design note of the approach and
experimental patch. Please let me know your feedback and suggestion on the
design change of FPM module to support the multiple connectivity with
external application.

Regards,

Udaya,
