Where is it coming in ?
The U section above the windscreen is designed to have water running in 
it, it then runs along there and down the door pillars on the outside of 
the door seal.
If the fingers inside the rubber seal (where it goes over the fibreglass 
edge) are old then it may leak round, or if the headlining around the 
windscreen has been wrapped around the edge of the fibreglass it can let 
water through.
Other places are where the guide blocks are fitted for the hood header 
rail, the rivets go right through.
You mentioned yours doesn't have the hockey sticks ?, these are the 
fibreglass sections that go from the front corner of the door behind the 
mirror and up the quarter light glass, are you sure you don't have them ?
