Hi Geoff

The shell’s pretty solid, had a bit of welding in the past and has new
sills. Inner wings are decent and most of the panels are original (tailgate
has rusted through) so it’s probably one to keep on the road for now

I’d be looking for 4 figures if that gives you an idea on whether it’s worth
it or not

Andy

Hello Andy,

I may be interested in the XR2/1.8 zetec you mentiond, would it be a
suitable doner for an engine replacement for the wifes 2+2, or is it a
pristine example of an XR2? and how much would you be looking for?

Regards Geoff.

Hello everyone

I had the white 2+2 on ebay a week or so ago with no reserve @ £500, and
while there was some interest I’d possibly priced it a little too high in
auction format. The original auction is here:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem
<http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280357538081>
&item=280357538081

If Google groups messes with the web link, the item number was 280357538081

I’m going to start breaking it on Monday unless there’s any interest before
then, and either keep the parts as spares for the RST 2+2 or sell on if
anyone’s in need.

If selling whole, I’d be looking for around £450’ish to a fellow QOC’er to
take it away as it stands. You’ll need a trailer and a sunny day. Or a
trailer and some tarpaulin otherwise. Car is in Mansfield Notts

Andy

(PS - Will also have an ‘86 Mk2 XR2 1800 Zetec/130hp going up for sale soon
as well)
