Eddie,
Could you laminate in some Big Head fastenings (stainless of course)
to allow fixing to the door card and at the top of the door? This would
also mean that you could go for the leatherette finish if people wanted
to leave it like that. I agree wit the other comments a nicer door
release surround would be nice and the thickness is very important my
ones on the 2+2 push the hood in when the door is shut, they would
probably be OK if they were not trimmed but allowances have to be made
for trimming with a bit of padding.
As you have mentioned it would be nice if they followed the shape
of the door as they would then hide the gap at the side of the dash but
as all car are different i.e. dash fitted slightly differently would it
be that easy?
