I've currently got the flat-rate insurance with Footman James through the owner's club, which I had understood was irrespective of engine size.
I've just rung them to register a change of engine size (the Fiat Coupe conversion - 1600 to 2000 turbo) and they're telling me there's a 300 quid surcharge... not a happy bunny. If one of the committee who knows about this could either comment here, or perhaps ring me on 07910 830 026, I'd love to hear from you; I'm hoping for an MOT in the morning if we can solve the remaining issues today, and I'd like to be properly insured.
