Hi,

I replaced my hood a couple of years ago and did not have those metal bits.

Subject: [Quantum Owners] 2+2 hood fitting question

hi guys

can anyone confirm either way if the hood header rail should have little
bits of metal screwed on either side inside the fabric?

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o192/jindal/DSC01924.jpg

that came off like so

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o192/jindal/DSC01923.jpg

the one was cut much deeper than the other to compensate for the drivers
window glass sitting 3/4" lower, now they both sit 4mm from the GRP header
rail, do i still need these? has anyone else got them?
also i noticed when removing them that the inner flap / side of the hood was
screwed to the header rail at the sides with 2x 3mm bolts through the holes
you can see, is this normal? the build manual just states glue

any help much appreciated folks

thanks
