Hi I have just received my renewal notice for my H4 from Footman James quoting the same price as everybody else, £246.98. I rang them to ask why the premium had risen by about 30% and they told me all car insurance had gone up by between 30% and 60% this year. I then mentioned the owners club and they said that the quoted price included the owners club discount. I asked if there was any way to reduce the premium and they said I could reduce the annual mileage from unlimited, but when they checked they found it did not affect the premium even with a reduction to 3000 miles per annum.
As mentioned by various members in the forum, I tried 2gether financial for a quote and after taking my details, they gave me a quote of £150 for 3000 miles a year, comprehensive, an excess of £100, for my wife and I to drive, with protected no claims bonus and legal protection. I have therefore blown Footman James out as this new company will give me a saving of almost £100 - better in my pocket than FJ! Sorry about the commission the Club will lose from FJ. Cheers Dave McEachern I have just renewed with A Plan (Thatcham branch), Very good service and price. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Quantum Owners Group" group.
