I think the clifford had the LED into a plate with "clifford" etched or white text on it.
Look for a company that fit alarms by cobra cliford etc named brands.
by the very nature they can be bypassed by people who know what is what, but if you have a go the cables are normally all black. depending on the complexity it could cut the fuel pump, ignition / starter circuit, door, bonnet and boot pins, etc.

Look for the fob shape on line under ebay or e-search aimed at the main players or upload a pic for us to look at.
may help to trace a local fitter (remover or failure diagnostic.)

Where are you based?

The alarms usually use the interior light switches to detect a door being opened.
One of these playing up could set the alarm off.
So, if you open the doors one at a time, do they both turn the interior light on ?

Sounds like the car has a separate central locking system then, so you should (somebody) be able to disconnect the alarm and leave the central locking working. But, the alarm should also be hooked into various other circuits to immobilise the car, these need to be bypassed as well. You need an auto electrician to bypass it, not a garage, most garages are not good at electronics.

I'm sure most modern ones have blue leds, i think Clifford were amongst the first but any alarm could have a blue led fitted.

Hi,

The door switches? Hm, I'm not very good with this sort of thing! But yes, if I lock one side of the car the other side will lock. Any suggestions? I understand you need to know about the car itself first!

About the blue light, do you know what sort of alarms do have blue LED's?

Many thanks.

    Hi all,

I have recently acquired a Quantum 2+2 and I am having alarm
    problems.

The blue flashing light that situated in front of the hazard
button will sometimes flash when I get out of the car, and
sometimes it won't. If it is flashing I have to press the button
on the alarm fob, sometimes the alarm will go off and sometimes
    it won't.

Also, when I get out of the car, you'll hear a clunk, I take it
    that's the central locking?

Recently I've been hearing a sound when I indicate or when I'm at
    low speed.

It's been really annoying me so I took it to a garage and asked
if he could disable the alarm altogether, he did but then
realised that the alarm is connected/wired into the central locking.

I know this is quite confusing so I'll appreciate any help you
    could give me.

    Many thanks.
